Well June is flying by as quickly as May did. It is always crazy this time of year for me, starting our four day work week (so we can have Friday's off), closing school budget, revising student/parent handbooks (which we normally split between three of us, but I did them all) and juggling my kids summer.
Terry took a salesman position down in Palacios, Texas for Bowers Shrimp (& Catfish). He travels a lot, so we are seeing each other about every-other weekend. He has a nice little two bedroom garage apartment at one of the nicer homes in the area. Nolan and I went down for a weekend to visit. It really wasn't bad, but the complete opposite from Austin. Nolan sure enjoyed fishing, he caught several "keeper" red fish.....but the giant mosqitos were no fun and we both still have our battle scars from all the bites. I've had fun helping Terry update his company website.
Beka has been in Denver the past week. She is going to be in for a shock at the heat when she come back to Austin. She sure enjoyed Kiana....maybe she will stuff her in her suit case and bring her back to Texas!
Nolan, who will be a freshman, has started Speed and Strength Camp at school. He work out Monday - Thursday with all the other income freshman athletes. This last until August, he then has a week off and then starts right into football practice. He also is playing rec basketball this summer. We should know what team he is on the end of June and they play the whole month of July on Saturday afternoons, I think. He is always shooting hoops at the house, and he has broken his backboard....I may have to break down and buy goal number 4 for the house.
Matt is taking ACC summer classes. He cut his hair last weekend....look like a man now! He is enjoying his best bud being home from college....I believe they have been out dancing at the western club weekly...which may explain the hair cut.
Ashley is still in Great Lakes, for about the next 100 days. You can read her blog (link to the right). She can't wait to get on her "home" the Nimitez. She leave sometime the end of September, and hopefully will work out coming home a few days before she is flown overseas to meet up with the ship, which will already be out on deployment.
