Various End of School Awards

Okay, it has been a busy week. Nolan's theater performance, Rebekah's track banquet, and Nolan's school awards ceremony...all this past week.

First Nolan told us he had a "small part" in the end of the year play. WOW is all I have to say. He had a main part with more lines that I ever would have been able to memorize. He is such a cutie and ham. Of course I got so excited watching him that I failed to hit record for his big part. The teacher is making me a copy of the dvd that she made...so hopefully she got him doing his stuff. Here is a short clip of the first of two speaking parts he had. He is the boy in the middle.

Last night we had the track banquet. I hadn't realized until last night that there were only 14 varsity girls and only two sophmores on the team. This is Beka's 2nd year on varsity...so she has another letter to add to her jacket. Beka has an appointment tomorrow to check out her foot, which is bothering her again. We are hoping that her screw is still in place. She can't compete summer track if she has an injury on her foot. (Beka is 2nd from left in the blue shirt and shorts)

Today was Nolan's award ceremony...which lasted over 2 hours. He received a medal for making straight A's all year long and then was one of five students on his team to receive the Most Spirited Student awards for students who are always positive, encouraging to others and helpful in class. This award was a surprise to the students so he seemed excited to receive the special recognition.
Memorial Day we are having Ashley's friends over for a send he off to the Navy party. Her good friend Keith, who has been home from Iraq for 30 days, was able to join us for dinner at the Oasis last weekend before heading back to Calif. Here they are being goofy and another of Ashley at the Oasis (in the center)overlooking Town Lake or hugging the post....

Tomorrow Matt turns the big 18!!! And he graduates next Saturday. So we have another busy week ahead of us.
Who would have every thought that kids really do grow up way to fast. Boy do I miss the preschool days.

Cruise Slideshow

Update from Cruise

WOW! What a fabulous time getting together with old and new friends, all there to celebrate Rhonda. We had a fabulous time on the cruise. There were five of us from Plano High and two friends of Rhonda's from California. It seemed like time had stopped as we all caught up with what is going on in each other's lives. Beautiful weather, great laughs, tasty drinks, and wonderful memories.

We left Galveston and headed down to Cozumel and then over to Progresso and then back home.

I'm going to try and create a slide show to play, but until then here are a couple of photos of the gang....enjoy!
