January is Almost Gone!

Yikes, realized that it has been September since I updated the blog. Time has just flown.
October's 30th high school reunion just seems a blur now, but boy was it great to see so many people for days gone by. Amazing how so much has not changed in all these years. Looking forward to the next one. Rhonda did a great job in organizing everything!

Of course October was when Ashley finally made it to the Nimitz. I think she has really enjoyed her "worldly" travels, but we are counting down the days till she is home again. Praying that everything continues to be safe and she and the other sailors will return to San Diego the end of March. Nolan and Beka will be heading out to meet the Nimitz for the final three days back. It will be an experience of a lifetime to get to see the inter workings of this aircraft carrier. I'm hoping to meet up with them when they get to port to get a tour myself.

I think I can officially say we received the best ever Christmas present from Ashley. She sent us a wonderful DVD of her adventures with all the great pictures she has taken on and off ship. She is such a talented photographer! It made it feel as if she were almost home.

Indoor track season is now in full force for Rebekah. She's already been to and A&M and UofH meet, where she did pretty good....but boy are their some fast high schoolers out there! Amazing to see records being broke. Has one more indoor meet and then will be full force into her senior season. Hoping to break some school records....but we've got to get her back well again.

Nolan's broken arm is almost healed completely. He still has a few weeks of No Contact Sports...lol. He has already started club basketball and practice for track. He is slowly getting his muscle tone back as he lifts weights at school. Hopefully by next football season he will be stronger and better and 100%!

I just got the graduation packet today for Rebekah. No way she is a senior. If I refuse to buy any of the stuff...will it make it not real??

Hoping that the year slows down a bit...it is going way to fast to already be the end of January!

Take care all!
